Every garment begins long before it's worn.

It begins with conversations, references scattered across a table, and samples that are more questions than answers.

This week marked the beginning of three new pieces. For the first time, we decided not to build them as a collection. Instead, each will be released individually, allowing every garment to carry its own identity and its own timeline.

They're only first samples.

At this stage, nothing feels finished, nor should it. The purpose of a sample isn't to prove an idea right. It's to reveal everything that still needs to change.

While working, we kept returning to a handful of references that quietly shaped our thinking.

SANAA's Rolex Learning Center reminded us that movement doesn't need to be forced. The building rises and falls almost like fabric caught in the wind, encouraging people to move naturally through it. We found ourselves asking whether clothing could create the same feeling.

Richard Serra's Ribbon reinforced another thought. A single material, transformed entirely through form. No decoration. No excess. Just shape carrying the idea.

The same restraint appeared elsewhere this week. In Radiohead's Nude, where atmosphere is built without urgency. In Trinity's first appearance in The Matrix, where silhouette changes with every step. In Pierre Paulin's Ribbon Chair, where softness and structure exist together. And once again, in the work of Issey Miyake, whose garments only seem complete once they're in motion.

Outside the studio, we spent time at Taragaon Museum for a friend's exhibition. We always leave places like that reminded that good ideas rarely stay inside one discipline. Architecture influences fashion. Furniture influences silhouette. Music influences pace. Everything eventually finds its way back into the studio.

This week also feels like the beginning of something larger than new garments.

Our website is entering its final stages, and if you're reading this after publication, there's a good chance it's already live.

More importantly, we're preparing to welcome the first person to join FURBE beyond its founders. We're hiring our first content creator, not simply to make content, but to help us document this journey with the same care we try to put into the work itself.

We're starting this documentation because we don't want to remember only what we released.

We want to remember how we arrived there.
